In This Moment have just finished recording new album 'The Dream'. Produced by Kevin Churko, it's due out later this year.

US based rocker Lennon (pictured) has  a new band. The band is called Devils Gift as is the new record, that is scheduled for a late September release. There is also a tour, these dates are on our tour dates page.

Battlelore’s fifth full length album, titled “The Last Alliance” is finally finished and ready to be presented to the public! The album consists of big, epic and atmospheric songs full of feeling and raging battles, taking you to an unforgettable journey through Middle-earth! As before, there will be a jewel case CD and a digipack with something extra. This time the digipack will include a DVD featuring the energetic live show at Metal Female Voices Festival in Wieze, Belgium 2007.

Re Xandria's Best Of package...seems the UK release date has been delayed until 23rd June, even though it has been available on mainland Europe since 6th June. If you are a little impatient, go to http://www.drakkar.de/en/ and get it!

Xandria's Best Of package is released in the UK on Monday June 9th. It is a 20 track cd with some their earlier tracks remixed, remastered and sounding better than ever. The release also contains a live dvd of their Summer Breeze 07 concert plus other extras! This is certainly a release to get your hands on, and if you have been living in a cave for the past five years or so, this release will be the perfect introduction to the band. Check it out!

Finnish progressive gothic metal band Memoira  fronted by Jemina Pitkala, can officially announce that their long awaited S/T debut album has a world wide release date on August 19th 2008. The record's executive producer is Lance King (known best for his work as vocalist of Balance Of Power, Pyramaze and most recently of Avian & Krucible), and the album gets released on his own Nightmare Record label.

The Birthday Massacre have today (12th May) released a new mini cd entitled 'Looking Glass' featuring remixes etc. I love this band and they rank as one of my faves. If you like electro gothic rock, this band just has to be checked out..Cool!

Hydrogyn's new cd 'Deadly Passions' gets released June 10th in the USA and June 23rd in Europe and across the rest of the world.

Awesome Italian Gothic Metal act Tular sees their debut cd 'The Truth Behind The Mask' get released on Renaissance Records on 13th May. Fronted by Francesca Martini, this band are sure going places. Check out http://www.myspace.com/tularofficial

Italian Gothic Metal Band Godyva featuring Lady Godyva,  has just released their second full album. Called 'Planetarium', this release looks set to continue from where the awesome 'In Good And Evil' left off.

The Ravenheart Music managed gothic rockers ROTT from Idaho in the USA will see their cd 'Out Of Time' released on the 27th May 2008 on Renaissance Records. This is awesome news for Rott and Ravenheart Music, as we here played a major part in getting the band this deal. Great stuff Molly, Carrie and Dan. We here in the UK are so happy for you!

Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris features on the debut album from his daughter, Lauren. The cd is titled 'Calm Before The Storm', and is out at the end of May.

A unique collection of songs from female-fronted Rock- and Metal bands. The best overview of metal ladies in the scene you can have! So BUY!

Angelspit's new album 'BLOOD DEATH IVORY' is now available for pre-order. Ships June 2008. Hot off the success of their debut album 'Krankhaus', Angelspit have returned with a new barrage of ballistic electro punk in their new 11 track album. The album will continue to blow fans away and disgust the status quo, as Angelspit experiment with sonic brutality combined with infectious and chemically sweetened melodies. Their tortured synthesizers, crushing bass and stomping beats get into your head and up to no good. With the massive sounding Blood Death Ivory, its clear that Angelspit won't be silenced, and jolly good too.

My buddies XANDRIA belong to the big acts of the gothic scene and on June 06th, 2008' they present a proper 'best of' album entitled "Now & Forever". To make this package quite tasty, the CD contains 20 tracks - all remastered. For that purpose a few rarities like the ballade "Lullaby" from the "India" phase or the songs "One Word" and "Drown In Me" (never been on an album), are on the tracklist. But that's not all: "Now & Forever - The Best Of Xandria" will be released in a high value double digipack with an embossing in silver and it contains a DVD with the complete XANDRIA show from 2007's Summerbreeze, all videoclips and a brandnew interview. So this item might be interesting even for those of you, who have collected almost everything from XANDRIA.

Ivar de Graaf made one of the toughest decisions of his life in 2001: he decided to leave the successful Dutch band Within Temptation: "The band was becoming a fulltime job. I no longer had the time to write my own music, which is something I really love doing. So I really had no choice, but to leave Within Temptation." So Ivar completely devoted himself to developing his own work, together with singer Judith Rijnveld. And eventually, the new band Kingfisher Sky was born. What started as a one-man-and-one-woman-project, ended up becoming a real band. The band member's unique talents can be heard on their fantastic debut album 'Hallway Of Dreams'. A review is due on this site soon, but this little opus it seems is well worth checking out.

Just a reminder folks:- The Ravenheart Music approved Dutch Gothic Rockers La-Ventura, whose debut album 'A New Beginning' has just picked up a 9/10 review in the UK's very own Powerplay Rock and Metal Zine, will see this album released on March 18th. Christian rockers Fireflight, whose previous cd 'The Healing Of Harms' caused quite a stir here at Ravenheart Music, more especially the awesome track 'You Decide' (I love that song), are soon to release 'Unbreakable'. And from what I have heard so far, this will be another awesome cd from this Orlando based melodic outfit.

Some release date news just in...Ravenheart Music's very own Rott, will have their cd 'Out Of Time' released by Renaissance Records sometime in May. Worldwide distribution being handled by Koch International. Also in May, Australian Gothic Metal band Temujin, has their debut cd '1000 Tears' released by the same label too. And while talking all things Renaissance, and just to confirm what has been mentioned on our news page, the Ravenheart approved Dutch rockers La-Ventura (singer Carla pictured), has their album 'A New Beginning', released on March 18th. All this is great stuff coming from a great label.

NIGHTWISH on the 18th January will release a platinum edition of their latest album, "Dark Passion Play", which will include all thirteen songs from the original version plus five bonus tracks: "Eramaan Viimeinen" (new track); "The Escapist" (new track); "Meadows Of Heaven" (orchestral version); "The Poet And The Pendulum" (demo) and "Bye, Bye Beautiful" (DJ Orkidea remix).

Paramore are to release a new single 'Crush Crush Crush' on November 19, both as a CD and also as a download.

Dark symphonic gothic metallers ATARGATIS will release their new album "Nova", on November 14th on Massacre Records. It was recorded at Helion Studios (Darkseed, Equilibrium etc.) in Munich. "Nova" will feature 10 songs including a cover of Army of Lover's "Crucified", and will be available as a limited edition Digipak with two exclusive bonus tracks!
